Dana White confirms the biggest MMA fight in history on Spike TV tonight!
It's finally happening.
UFC president Dana White announced during the Spike TV "Scream 2007" awards show on Tuesday, October 23rd that the MMA fight the world has been waiting for is on.
Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell will battle former PRIDE Middleweight and Grand Prix champion Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva inside the octagon.
The long-rumored, highly anticipated bout is finally 100-percent official for the December 29th event, UFC 79 "Nemesis" emanating from Las Vegas, Nevada.
The main event that night will feature Ultimate Fighter 6 coaches Matt Serra and Matt Hughes fighting for Serra's Welterweight championship title.
