Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" Set For Number One
Story reported by Brian Cantor of Headline Planet

Release of digital single propels the song to the top of the charts

Though the full chart does not release until Thursday, Billboard has already confirmed that Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body," off upcoming album "E=MC2," will move up to number one on this week's Billboard Hot 100.

"Touch My Body" marks Carey's eighteenth number one and places her only behind The Beatles for most chart-toppers. The legendary four-man piece has twenty top hits.

The surge for Carey's song is largely due to a record-setting debut week for digital sales; 286,000 copies of the single were downloaded.

The preliminary report did not say where Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love," the reigning chart topper, ended up this week. It did, however, confirm that Madonna's "4 Minutes (featuring Justin Timberlake)" will climb from sixty eight to three.

A full Billboard Hot 100 report will be published when available.
