Singles from the veteran female performers occupy two of the top three spots; Billboard Hot 100 report!

The release of the digital single was what Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" needed to become her eighteenth top single; the song moved up fourteen places to the top spot on this week's Billboard Hot 100.

The veteran's new single brought a hasty end to the reign of newcomer Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love," which slipped back to four. Usher's "Love in this Club (featuring Young Jeezy)" and Madonna's "4 Minutes (featuring Justin Timberlake)" fell into two and three, while Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown's "No Air" finished up the top five.

That left Ray J's "Sexy Can I (featuring Yung Berg)," Lil Wayne's "Lollipop (featuring Static Major)," Chris Brown's "With You," Sara Bareilles' "Love Song" and Flo Rida's "Low (featuring T-Pain)" in position to complete the top ten.

A sixty five place hop for "4 Minutes" was the biggest gain of the week. Other notable increases included a twenty eight place spike for Trace Adkins' "You're Gonna Miss This" (12), a six place pop for Danity Kane's "Damaged" (21), a nine place ascent for Rick Ross' "The Boss (featuring T-Pain)" (28) and a nineteen place boost for Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine" (38).

A cover of "Beat It" by Fall Out Boy (with John Mayer as the featured guitarist) was the "Hot Shot Debut" at 22. Other new entries included Nelly's "Party People (featuring Fergie)" (54), Plies' "Bust it Baby (Part 2) (featuring Ne-Yo)" (55), Disturbed's "Inside the Fire" (73), DAY26's "Got Me Going" (79) and Death Cab for Cutie's "I Will Possess Your Heart" (89).

Nothing re-entered the chart this week.
