NBC gives the Emmy-winning comedy a new timeslot

NBC announced on its website that Emmy-winning comedy "30 Rock" will move to the 9:30PM timeslot, beginning this week.

The show, which will continue to air on Thursday nights, will receive a lead-in from "The Office," which has posted strong numbers in its first two weeks back on the air.

It had previously been airing at 8:30PM with lead-out help from "My Name is Earl." "Scrubs," which held the 9:30 spot, will go on an hour earlier.

"30 Rock" spent part of its first season in the 9:30 slot, but it did not receive a direct lead-in benefit from "The Office."
