The full Flight of the Conchords album was the week's top-selling new album

Though it was not able to claim the top spot on the charts, Flight of the Conchords self-titled album was the week's best debut.

The album debuted at number three on this week's Billboard 200 with a lukewarm sales count of 52,000. The initial Billboard sales report did not discuss online sales, but they likely made up a large portion of the 52,000—the album spent some time atop the iTunes sales chart this past week.

Mariah Carey's "E=MC2" extended its reign at number one to two weeks, albeit with a sales drop of 61% in the process. 182,000 copies of the album were purchased, which gave it an almost two-to-one margin over number Leona Lewis' "Spirit," which ranked second with 96,000.

Ashlee Simpson's "Bittersweet World" got started at number four on sales of 47,000. It was her first album not to debut at number one.

Atmosphere's "When Life Gives You Lemons, Paint that Shit Gold" opened up at number five (36,000), while Phil Vassar's "Prayer of a Common Man" was tenth with 27,000.
