Billboard Hot 100: Rihanna Takes "Bow" At Number One

Rihanna scores her third number one single; Full Billboard Hot 100 report!

A surge of digital sales helped Rihanna's "Take a Bow" make a fifty two place advance to top the 5/24/08 edition of the Billboard Hot 100.

"Take a Bow" becomes the singer's third number one, following "SOS" and "Umbrella." Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love," which held the number one spot last week, fell to number two.

Lil Wayne's "Lollipop (featuring Static Major)" slipped to number three, while Jordin Sparks' and Chris Brown's "No Air" and Usher's "Love in this Club (featuring Young Jeezy)" also slipped a single spot to round out the top five.

The one-spot drop was also true for Ray J and Yung Berg's "Sexy Can I" (6), Madonna's "4 Minutes (featuring Justin Timberlake)" (7), Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" (8) and Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine" (9). Danity Kane's "Damaged" moved up a spot to number ten.

Gavin DeGraw's "In Love With a Girl" made a ten place jump to number twenty four in conjunction with the release of DeGraw's latest album. Other big gains included an eleven spot hop for Mariah Carey's "Bye Bye" (27), a thirty eight place ascension for The Ting Tings' "Shut Up and Let Me Go" (55), a twenty four place move for Keyshia Cole's "Heaven Sent" (59) and a fifteen place advance for The Dream's "I Luv Your Girl" (61).

Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" scored the "Hot Shot Debut" title at number 15. Its "Violet Hill" started at number forty. Other chart debuts DJ Laz's "Move Shake Drop (featuring Flo Rida and Casely)" (56), Maroon 5's "If I Never See Your Face Again (featuring Rihanna)" (57), TI's "No Matter What" (72), Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" (76), Alicia Keys' "Teenage Love Affair" (78), Kardinal Offishall's "Dangerous (featuring Akon)" (91), David Banner's "Get Like Me (featuring Chris Brown)" (97) and Alan Jackson's "Good Time" (99).
