Defends against ratings criticism, expresses optimism about future

A WWE.com article published Tuesday goes on the defensive, asserting that last week's low WWE RAW rating is not as alarming as the media suggested.

In addition to arguing that the average viewership for the past thirteen weeks is greater than it was during RAW's first thirteen weeks after returning to USA in October 2005, the article also mentions that last week's RAW scored the highest household rating on cable last week and performed well in all major teenage and young male demographics.

It also stated that every major broadcast network experienced similar downturns compared to previous Memorial Day ratings figures.

In closing, the article put over Million Dollar Mania as having "unprecedented interest" and being a good opportunity for WWE to rebound in the ratings department.
