WWE RAW Rating Revealed

The verdict is in — did McMahon's million dollars help?

The rating for last week's edition of WWE RAW -- a 3.1 -- painted a pessimistic sign for the impact of McMahon's Million Dollar Mania on the RAW rating. Nonetheless, because the giveaway did not start until this week, there was reluctance to call the competition a definite failure.

That reluctance should now be gone. According to PWInsider.com, this week's RAW posted a 3.0 rating (off hours of 2.97 and 3.06), which not only shows a lack of new interest in the competition, but a failure on WWE's part to fully return to the level it was at before the poor Memorial Day number.

WWE has press conferences and hype planned for the contest, which returns next week; it remains to be seen how WWE will respond to the first wave of proof that the contest is not a ratings generator.
