"Lollipop" stays at number one as "Viva la Vida," "I Kissed a Girl" move upwards

Lil Wayne's "Lollipop (featuring Static Major)" continued its reign at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, fending off competition from the continually rising "Viva la Vida." Coldplay's new single landed at number two.

That forced Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" down to third, while Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" continued its hot streak with a move to number four. Rihanna's "Take a Bow" finished up the top five.

Usher was sixth with "Love in this Club (featuring Young Jeezy)," beating out top ten finishers Jordin Sparks' and Chris Brown's "No Air," Ray J's and Yung Berg's "Sexy Can I," Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine" and Madonna's "4 Minutes (featuring Justin Timberlake)."

Chris Brown's "Forever" moved up five places to fall one spot short of the top ten. Other big increases included a nine place ascent for Metro Station's "Shake It" (14), a forty five place hop for the Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up" (31), a nine place spike for Keyshia Cole's "Heaven Sent" (33) and a twelve place climb for Three 6 Mafia's "Lolli Lolli (Pop that Body) featuring (Project Pat, Young D and Superpower)" (50) and a sixteen place move for Weezer's "Pork and Beans" (64).

Young Jeezy's "Put On (featuring Kanye West)" started off at number thirty six, earning the "Hot Shot Debut" label. Other new entries included an album-release-fueled entry at 72 for Disturbed's "Indestructible," Gavin Rossdale's "Love Remains the Same" (76), Lil Wayne's "You Ain't Got Nuthin (featuring Juelz Santana and Fabolous" (81), Miley Cyrus' "7 Things" (84), Hot Stylz' "Lookin Boy (featuring Young Joc)" (86), Lil Wayne's "Mr. Carter (featuring Jay-Z)" (92), Shwayze's "Buzzin' (featuring Cisco Adler)" (98) and Paramore's "That's What You Get" (99).
